Dear Laura,

My sweet and gentle rose,
our current whereabouts I can't officially disclose but,
just know how deeply I miss home...
I long for your warmth and the love you bestow,

cause so frequently I feel fear it feels weird,
I never thought that fear was real but now it's real clear
and the pain in my gut, it's really hard to show it,
cause "a man in uniform should never reveal tears..."

That's what my ears hear anyway.. everyday
it's something else that a man should never say...
And when it comes to faith, it's really hard to keep it,
with everything my eyes have seen it's hard to see Jesus.

been hard for to me sleep ever since we departed ways

how I miss your affectionate kiss...
I long for your embrace, I long to hear you sing
a sweet song, I long for the security you bring.

And with every passing moment we're apart, the desire
for your embrace, it grows fonder in my heart...
and often at night, I lay on top of the car, and when I'm
under the stars I tend to wonder where you are...

And the uncertainty it makes me scared, it's hard to bear
